What is Missional Family Christmas?

Missional Family Christmas started in 2014 as a way to bring our church family together for a Christmas party with a purpose. We collect items throughout the month of November such as personal hygiene products and towels, that benefit our local missions organizations such as The Emergency Assistance Center, Laura’s Home, The Intentional Hands Homeless Ministry and more. On the day of Missional Family Christmas, we gather together to package the items we have collected all the while celebrating the Christmas season together! The packages are then delivered to our local missions organizations by teams throughout the month of December. We also make Christmas cards for the kids of BrightStart learning in Cambodia, which is one of our global missions organizations.

But that’s not all – We love to party at Western Reserve and Christmas is no exception to that! Bring the whole family to enjoy holiday activities like Christmas ornament making, Christmas themed selfie-station, Christmas goodies, Christmas music and of course – ugly Christmas sweaters!

NEW for 2017:
– In addition to our traditional package making, we will be sorting toys for the Emergency Assistance Center’s annual Christmas Lane (which Western Reserve hosts each year).
