Matt leads our student ministries, junior high and senior high- teaching and sculpting young minds, hearts, and dating habits. Matt is a well-loved and respected 28-year-old who has a niche for connecting to both teenagers and parents as well.  Prior to working at Western Reserve, he was on staff at Catalyst church in beautiful Kent, Ohio.  He holds a Bachelors in Education from Kent State (’06) and recently earned a Masters in Theological Studies from Malone University (’11).  Matt is passionate about education, community, and seeing lives transformed by the Gospel.  His role models include Donald Miller, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Trent Reznor, and Batman.

He counts his autographed picture of Pastor Jason among his prized possessions. His first career choice was to be a male model. But, somehow he felt led to be here. So hey. It works.
