Covenant Community

We take our mission seriously, as well as what makes us “us.”

So- we have “Covenant Community,” which is a type of membership-

our Covenant Community members have agreed upon these descriptions of what our Church will be:

We will walk toward people, not away
We don’t think about ourselves first.  We’re about you- we just want you to be filled
with life in Christ.

We will take steps of ridiculous faith
We don’t think small.  We set bold goals- things that are impossible to do on our own.
God is faithful; He will do it.

We will passionately use the gifts God has given us to build His church
We’re “all hands on deck” – we’re at our best when we’re united on mission.  Don’t be a
spectator- get in and get on mission.

We will be authentic
Unfortunately, church is thought of by many folks to be where you “put on a front” -
not here.  Be yourself, be honest- we accept you.

We will never get over Jesus
We will never take for granted what Jesus has done.  He gave His life for us, because of
Him we have hope, freedom, and life- our whole life will be for Him.  Our worship will
be in passionate response to who He is and what He has done.

We will walk together in grace and truth
We are devoted to one another.  Even if we don’t see “eye-to-eye,” we can walk “hand-
in-hand.”

We will be 100% committed to Jesus and His Word
Our minds, hearts, and entire lives will revolve around God’s Word.  His truth changes
us and directs us.

We will love one another more today than we did yesterday
It takes devotion, time, and grace to live in relationship with each other, constantly
growing.  The world will know us by our love for one another.

We will assume the best
Don’t be afraid of being judged here.  We will assume the best of each other and give
honor and respect.

We will take the next step toward Jesus
Our spiritual lives are a journey- filled with “next steps.”  What is your next step?
What do you need to do?

We will give financially
We will lead the way in generosity- giving money and resources to advance the
Kingdom of God.

We will provide relief to the poor
God’s heart is for the oppressed- we will reflect God’s heart by providing for those
lacking resources.
